| Mei and Akane were out for a walk, mostly to shirk off the duty they had to teach at the academy that day. Mei was dressed in a short black leather dress with a blue cross adorned across the chest, a sheath for a sword tied at her hip. Her cold blue eyes surveyed everything behind her glasses and her silver hair blew loosely in the wind. Akane walked beside her sister leisurely with a similar dress on, except the cross was red. Her own fiery red eyes were much more analytical as her midnight black hair hung loosely around her, a few strands working themselves around her wrists and waist. She also had a sheath. They both wore a pair of knee-length boots, so the heels on them could be easily heard throughout this silent alley. | |

| Akane stopped, something lighting in her eyes. "Nee-San...I believe we're not alone," She murmured with a grin. She looked towards her sister, who mimicked her grin with frightening accuracy as she pushed her glasses up a bit further. "Yes, nee-nee, i believe you're right,". The two sisters walked in unison, saying nothing else about the matter. In fact, they knowingly walked right past him, not so much as batting an eyelid. Mei looked at her sister from behind her glasses, giving her a single nod. Akane returned the nod and gave her a look as if to say 'leave him'. They continued to walk on. | |

| Akane let out a laugh. Cold, harsh and surprisingly uncaring even though she'd never met this boy in her life. Mei chuckled slightly and, unlike Akane, actually decided to look at the boy over her shoulder. "We really dont have time for you, boy," Akane murmured, shaking her head to and fro. "I'm afraid we have arrangements prior to this one," She continued, leaning against on of the alley walls and tilting her head back. "Mei, stop gawking and lets go," Mei nodded. "Yes, nee-nee...I just found him rather fascinating was all," Mei said knowingly, looking him over once more before turning away yet again. | |

| "Puppets..How amusing," Akane smiled. "We're not underestimating you, we never even 'estimated' you. What made you think we wanted a battle. I certainly said nothing of the sort, did you nee-san?" She asked her sister, raising an eyebrow. "No, not at all nee-nee. I said nothing of the kind," Mei replied, touching her sisters arm once. "We best get going before Lady Yukikage realises we're gone. I know she is busy, but she'll notice if we're gone for too long," Akane nodded. "Yes, you're right. We were never meant to stop in the first place," She sighed. "What a bother," | |

| Akane sighed, drawing her sword from its sheath at the same instant Mei drew hers. They were unusual swords, not made from any metal. They were made entirely of elemental chakra. Akane's was made from fire chakra, meis from water. They both slashed upwards in unison, cutting the tentacles in two. "I said we didnt want a battle, boy," Akane said calmly, still not even bothering to look. "Come, Mei," Mei nodded and silently followed after her sister, twirling her sword like a baton in her hand and humming quietly but her voice reverberated through the alley since it was so quiet.

| The sisters waved their hands, sending out a burst of chakra to knock the kunai away. They both looked at him over their shoulders. "Just what exactly do you want from us then? We are not going to fight, Lady Yukikage has forbidden us to do such a thing without cause. What do you want us to do? If you come at us with such violence, the only thing we CAN do is leave," Akane said, sighing. Mei looked a little shocked at her sister saying so many things in one go and nodded. "Nee-nee is correct. Also, we have places to go. We are only leaving so suddenly because we have places that we need to be. Our duty to the village comes first. Always," | |

| "We will aknowledge this if you notice this. If you don't show more respect towards other people, you'll end up dead in a gutter somewhere before your dear puppets can help you," Akane said harshly. Mei placed a hand on her sisters arm, trying to calm her down silently. She turned to Kumomaru. "What my sister said is true. For people to respect you, you must also respect them. Its part of Shinobi conduct. As a Genin, you should know this," She murmured. It was obvious their elements held some common factor with their personalities. Akane was fiery and snappy, while Mei was collected and quiet. However, both sisters shared one thing. They were both fiercely loyal. | |

| "Then you're a brat," Akane muttered. "You wont get far that way, even Orochimaru and Sasori had more delicacy than you," She snapped. "Its unfair that you command the respect of others, but they dont have your respect," Mei sighed heavily. "Nee-nee, enough. If he chooses to be selfish, so be it. Not everyone has the same views as us. I'm not exactly comfortable wandering around in an alley like this when we're wearing what we are," Mei whispered, looking at her sister with understanding. "Fine..." Akane replied, taking a deep breath to calm herself. Who hides behind a pelt and insults people? Is this what the Mist has to offer? | |

| "Fine, then i dont respect you, since i have no reason to do so. I know you're gonna go on a rant about how i should respect you but i dont. It's not because you're Genin or anything, its because of what you said. 'only a weak, pathetic human would respect someone for no reason'," Akane said with a scowl. She obviously didnt take crap from anyone. Mei was silent, looking at him pretty emotionlessly but there was something in those ice blue eyes of hers. Apology? Gentleness? It was very hard to tell since the little light from the sun was glinting off her glasses, obscuring the view of her eyes from underneath them. | |

| Akane yawned noisily. "Am i supposed to care? Seriously, tell me when your boasting is over. I honestly couldnt care less what clan youre from, or if youre a so-called 'demon'. A ninja is a ninja to me and any ninja that comes across as annoying to me doesnt deserve my respect or my time," Akane shrugged, looking up at the sky as a raven crowed and circled overhead. "Mei...She knows. If we dont get back soon she'll come looking," Mei ran a hand through her hair. "This is bad...If she's angry, who knows how things will end up. She's been under a good deal of stress recently. We really have to get going, nee-nee," | |

| The raven swerved out of the way, crowing down almost threateningly at the boy before landing behind the two sisters. It disappeared in a puff of smoke, with Kurai in its place. It had been a transformation jutsu. "Akane, Mei...Is there a problem here?" She asked, looking between the two of them. "U-Uh...Yukikage-Sama..I," Akane started but Kurai held up a hand so she was then silent. Mei just bowed her head in apology, to which Kurai placed a hand on her shoulder, making her look up again. | |
