Name: Kentaro Takahashi
Age: 14
Gender: Male
Rank: Genin
Looks:
Kentaro is a tall, well-built 14 year old teenager with a lean body - a product of countless hours of workouts. He's also rather handsome though he doesn't care about such superficial things. His jet black hair reaches just below his shoulder blades and Kentaro keeps it secured in a tight ponytail, leaving only a few bangs hanging around the sides of his forehead. His eyes match his hair, which are black.
Kentaro wears a classic, dark purple shinobi shÅzoku. It is made up of split-toed tabi boots and socks; special trousers with double-ties which fasten at the ankles, knees and waist; a jacket with overlapping lapels which is tucked into the trousers; protective arm-and-hand sleeves; and a scarf that can serve as either a mask or a hood.
Underneath that jacket, Kentaro also wears a black Kevlar shirt providing some measure of protection against certain attacks. He also wears a pair of fingerless black sap gloves to give him a slight edge in hand-to-hand combat. His village headband is always shown, beneath his neck.
Personality: Kentaro is a loud and funny individual. He always speaks when it is not unnecessary and doesnt always think before he acts. He always speaks on whatever is on his mind, either if it is right or wrong.
He's always trying to improve himself, by both researching new techniques as well as training in physical combat. And for some reason he always seems serious and lost in thought. But that however doesn't mean he's not thinking about something else rather than training.
Although loyal to his clan and village he doesn't always approve of some decisions the higher-ups take. It's because of this that he has a rebellious attitude towards most figures of authority. Still, he would never do anything that would endanger his kinsmen

Bio: Kentaro was born into a military family. His father, Hayate, was a military officer while his mother, Ayame, helped supply the forces. For the first part of his life, Kentaro didn't even know his dad. The man was out fighting, for reasons Kentaro didn't know nor care to know. All he cared about was the fact that his father was gone. His mother took care of him as much as she could by herself, but it got harder and harder on the woman, whose heart longed for the return of her loving husband. Kentaro spent years waiting for word of the man, while the anger built. He constantly got in trouble with the guards, who caught him fighting with the various townsfolk who tried to insult him for growing up without a father, while their own fathers had become great Shinobi. His mother tried to get him to calm his emotions and try to put aside the heartache, but he just couldn't.
Finally, he awoke to hear a voice that he had never heard before. He walked downstairs to find a man in a military uniform embracing his crying mother. He had never seen the man in his life but he instantly knew that it was his father. The two began to get acquainted for the first time in Kentaro's life, and they soon became inseparable. The man always asked what Kentaro was going to do with his life, and all Kentaro could say was that he wanted to defend... just like his dad. This didn't set well with the father, of course. Hayate had seen the horrors of war, the violent truth of combat. However, his son reminded him of himself when he was that age, eager to fight and eager to protect those he cared about. He knew that the fire within his son was too intense to quell, so he decided not to even try to convince his son against being a fighter. Instead, he did the next best thing that he could think of. He got in contact with various soldiers that he had fought with, and they agreed to help train the boy for the obvious next step... the Shinobi Academy.
Kentaro's father sent him with the men at age eleven. For the next year, they trained him in the arts of stealth, observation, analysis, and other crucial militaristic skills that would without a doubt come in handy in the future. He excelled in the training, but there was a problem. His physical strength just wasn't that great. Instead, he was exceptionally fast and agile for his age. They decided to help make him even faster while trying to build the physical strength up to normal standards.
The time finally came. He was released from their scout training at age 12 and was sent to the Academy to learn the way of the Shinobi...
Acadamy Arc:
He wasted no time in joining the Academy, though that wasn't all that unusual in the Takahashi Clan. For that matter Kentaro proved himself as the most louadmouth student as his teachers later stated. His goofiness almost made himself expelled. But still, his thirst for knowledge and techniques seemed insatiable. Not in the power-hungry kind of way though. No, it was more of an honest curiosity actually. It was also during his Academy years that Kentaro truly started analyzing the pros and cons between the three main fighting types. He knew his clan favored ninjutsu and to a lesser extent taijutsu. Because of this it was ninjutsu that he excelled at upon graduation a couple of years later.
