However, this act is merely a facade. Underneath that mask, that facade, lies the beating heart of a broken-hearted, betrayed, lonely person.

Background/RP Sample

Background: Prince Ryuumaru Shimazu, a name that is known to few and feared by none. Most people don't even know he exists. Prince Ryuumaru Shimazu is the son of a Princess named Kimi Shimazu and the dreaded Snake Sannin Orochimaru. Practically everyone except the current Hokage, Jiraiya, Tsunade and Orochimaru himself know of Ryuumaru's existence. Ryuumaru was born with Orochimaru's eyes, which were slitted like a snake although his eyes were golden rather instead of yellow and Ryuumaru loathes the fact his eyes look similar to the Snake Sannin's. When Ryuumaru grew up from 1-4 years old, his mother Kimi always used to tell him about what a great man Orochimaru was, all the incredible deeds he has committed, not telling him of the fact that Orochimaru was a wanted. Up through those ages, Ryuumaru aspired to be like his father up until he was 5 years old.

When he was 5, he learned the truth about his father and when his father left. His father Orochimaru left his mother Kimi even though he knew she had Tuberculosis and knew she was pregnant with Ryuumaru at the time. Ryuumaru was also aware of the cruel, vile sins his father committed though the only one he cares about is that his father left his slowly dying mother alone and pregnant. For that one deed, Ryuumaru has downright loathed and despised the Snake Sannin and has vowed to do whatever it takes to see him die. When Ryuumaru was 6, Kimi's illness finally caught up with her and she slowly deteriorated.

By the time Ryuumaru was 8, Kimi was physically unable to take care of herself, since her illness practically sapped away all her energy and strength, leaving her prone to bed rest. Ryuumaru was at her side everyday, taking care of her in a hopeless attempt to help her get better. One day, when Ryuumaru was out by the Park, he came across a bunch of girls bullying a pink-haired girl. Since he always despised bullies, he helped out the girl and chased away the bullies. The girl thanked him and told him that her name was Sakura Haruno. Ryuumaru smiled at her and told her that his name was Prince Ryuumaru Shimazu. That was the start of Ryuumaru's very first friendship and Ryuumaru's very first love.

When Ryuumaru was 10, the last of Kimi's life drained away and she finally died. When his mother died, he was very depressed, though he hid it very well and went to see Sakura, hoping she would comfort him. He was in for a surprise when Sakura didn't even pay attention to him as because she was too busy focusing on Sasuke Uchiha. He snapped at her and asked her what was so great about the Uchiha. Sakura told him that he was much cooler then he was and how he would never be as good as Sasuke. Ryuumaru was shocked and felt deeply betrayed and ever since that day, he became what is known today as the Human Glacier, treating everyone in a cold, uncaring manner, vowing to never care for another person ever again.

Description: This jutsu sends multiple balls of fire at a target. It is also possible to hide shuriken within the fireballs, creating an unexpected secondary surprise attack. For the most part, however, this jutsu is used as a distraction.

Water-Elemental Ninjutsu:

Name: Water Dragon Bullet

Description: Water Release - Water Dragon Bullet Technique takes the form of a giant, powerful dragon, created out of water. This jutsu needs forty-four hand seals, the highest amount of hand seals necessary to use a jutsu shown in the series so far. Another drawback to the technique is that it requires the user to be near a large body of water to complete the technique. However, Tobirama Senju was able to produce one without a pre-existing water source and with only one hand seal, which was a testament to his skill and one of the reasons why he was selected as Hokage.

This technique is very similar to Water Release: Water Shark Missile Technique, which also creates a creature out of water to crash it onto the opponent.

Description: The Water Clone Technique is similar to the Shadow Clone Technique except it creates clones out of water. Like other solid clone techniques, the clones can be used to perform tasks the user is unable or unwilling to do for themselves. The range of the clone is limited however, as it can not travel very far from the original body. Additionally, water clones only have one-tenth of the original person's power, as stated by Haku. Like other clone techniques, if the water clones are injured enough they will revert back to normal water.

Description: This jutsu is used to trap a victim inside a virtually inescapable sphere of water. The only downside to this technique is that the user must keep at least one arm inside the sphere at all times in order for the victim to remain imprisoned. Clones can be used in place of the actual person, provided that the clone is the one that performed the technique. This jutsu can't be performed without a sufficiently large body of water to supply the water for it. Neji Hyuga has been able to use his ability to release chakra from all of his pressure points to disrupt the flow of chakra inside the prison and break free.

Despite the fact that the prison is made up entirely out of water, it is stronger than steel as stated by Zabuza Momochi. Once traped the target is unable to move while within it due to the heaviness of the water. Even so, the target is still able to speak. When this technique is used on Tenten, she indicates that she cannot breathe, though other characters have not reported the same problem.

Non-Elemental Ninjutsu:

Description: This jutsu is a high-speed movement technique, allowing a ninja to move short to long distances at an almost untraceable speed. To an observer, it appears as if the user has teleported. A puff of smoke is occasionally used to disguise the user's movements. It is accomplished by using chakra to temporarily vitalise the body and move at extreme speeds. The amount of chakra required depends on the overall distance and elevation between the user and their intended destination. Shisui Uchiha was feared as "Shisui of the Body Flicker" (瞬身のシスイ, Shunshin no Shisui), likely referring to this technique.

The Body Flicker Technique has various variations among the different hidden villages, all of which involve some extra element aside from the movement itself. The extra element is usually some sort of substance used to distract the opponent, such as leaves or sand. Gaara, for instance, uses the Sand Body Flicker, which uses sand to cover his movements. Other varieties include the Mist Body Flicker, Water Body Flicker, and Leaf Body Flicker.

Description: This jutsu lets the user quickly switch places with another nearby object, such as a plant (normally a section of a log), an animal, or even another person within reach, leaving the opponent open to a counter-attack. Exploding tags can be attached to the replacement for an added surprise. Fundamentally, all ninja know this technique.

The anime has a number of other objects being used for this jutsu, such as a boulder, mud, a scarecrow, and even a large rolled-up carpet. These items are usually nowhere in sight, suggesting that they are merely gags meant to lighten up the situation and not an actual part of the jutsu. Additionally, the normal practice of switching places with a section of log is done in several places that have no such thing anywhere nearby.

This technique is sometimes referred to as the Art of Projection in other manga and anime series.

Description: Kinobori no Waza, the art of tree climbing serves a dual purpose. Taking part in Kinobori Shugyou (Tree Climbing Training) helps a ninja learn how to focus their chakra. It also teaches the ninja how to run up trees and walk on vertical walls. The training helps the ninja learn how to focus just the right amount of chakra to a particular part of their body. The amount needed to climb is small but it must be precise. The feet are regarded as the hardest location to master chakra focusing. So by gaining the art of this skill, the ninja will have any jutsu available (theoretically) because they will be able to focus their chakra as needed.
